This week has been a tough one. We moved Tori to college. I thought it would be easier since we’ve already been through this with our older daughter. We’re veterans. We won’t cry. I.was.wrong. Even thinking about it, I will start crying. I cried when I said good-bye. I cried driving back to Texas when Steven Curtis Chapman’s “Cinderella” came on the radio. I cried when I got home and saw that Tori left me a letter on my bed. I cried the next morning when she posted Carrie Underwood’s song “Mama’s Song” with a sweet note on my Facebook wall. I’ve cried enough tears for all the moms who are sending their kids to school.
Okay, enough about my tears. Tori is going to school in Oklahoma. She will be about 30 minutes from her sister, who will be a junior in college. (I don’t think my girls realize they have colleges in TEXAS!) Tori will be playing volleyball, which has always been a dream of hers. I can’t wait to watch her play!

The day she decided what school she was going to, she started shopping for her dorm. The best part of the girls going to school is getting to decorate their rooms! Tori and her roommate each have their own room and for a dorm, IT IS HUGE. It has a mini-kitchen that separates each room.
Tori chose turquoise, coral and beige for her colors.
We brought the vintage table from home. It’s a perfect fit.
Tori’s dorm is new so they don’t allow holes in the walls. We are so thankful for Command Hooks.
We made a pennant banner. I love how it turned out!
Her blinds were broken when we arrived.
We replaced the blinds. She’ll be able to sleep in a little later.
Tori’s boyfriend also goes to school in Oklahoma, about 20 minutes from her. He stopped by to see her new place!
Tori, we are so proud of you! Our home will feel so empty without your bubbly personality and laughter to fill it! WE LOVE YOU!
