A few months before my daughter, Tori, and her husband, Chad, were married, they bought a little house that needed some major work. The house was built in the 1943.
Tori was still in college, playing volleyball, and planning a wedding when they bought the house. They didn’t have much free time, but when they did, they poured it into their house. They tore down walls, ceilings, and ripped up floors. After their wedding, they moved into their house and continued to spend all of their free time turning their house into a beautiful farmhouse.
They did most of the work themselves. It has been such a joy watching their creative style come alive. Also, Chad is amazing. He can build anything!
It’s difficult to get a picture of the entire bathroom because of the small space. On the opposite side of this picture is a clawfoot tub! Since this picture was taken, they have added a shelf under the sink to hide the pipes, and outlet cover. 😉
Before: Living Room/Dining Room/Kitchen
The floors are original and I don’t have a picture of the before. Chad sanded them and stained them.
Chad built this hutch. Isn’t it beautiful?
The kitchen was completely renovated. I love the concrete countertops and white cabinets. When I took this picture the baseboards hadn’t been installed yet.
They are in the process of finishing the upstairs and the outside of the house, because it will go on the market soon. I’m excited to see what they will do with their next home.
