Do you ever do something so stupid that you could kick yourself? I do. Quite often, but this time I really messed up.
I happened to be looking at my gmail account the other day, when I noticed I had a ton of photos on there under the photo link and they were open for everyone to look at on the internet. Apparently, I was having one of my “keep my identity private” moments, so I deleted almost all of the pictures. I kept a few, but changed the privacy so I’m the only one who could see it. I didn’t even stop to think why they would be there and who put them there. Well, long story made longer……………they were linked to this little blog. Who would have thought? Not me. Guess what else? I was organizing all my photos (because I bought the best photo manager in the world!) and I deleted most of my pictures I put on my blog. Why? Because they are on my blog, so I didn’t think I needed them anymore. I’m sick in my stomach just thinking about it! I salvaged a few, but that’s it. So, if you are wondering why I don’t have photos in my old posts, this is why. Okay, I will stop kicking myself and move on….
If you ever need computer or technical advice, never ask me!
I love January and the promise of a new year! I love looking back on the previous year to see what I’ve learned and decide how I want to make the new year the best one yet!
This year I wrote my goals in my planner so I have them with me all the time. I have a tendency around March to forget what I’m working on!
I want to focus on my relationship with my Lord. I want to make sure I’m pouring into His word. I want to live out “Love the Lord your God with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.”
I want to focus on thankfulness.
I want to have more grace with people.
I want to choose people over perfection.
I plan to read more. (I will share what I’m reading soon!)
I plan to cook more.
Accessorize more! (Take the extra time to take better care of my self!)
Say “no” to things that draw me away from my family and “yes” to things that will enrich our lives.
More date nights.
Take more pictures.
Tea time with my girls each week.
Play more. Game nights once a week.
I plan to rid our house of yuck foods. (Don’t tell my kids!) My husband and I don’t eat anything with grains or sugar and it is now time to make the transition to my family.
I plan to relax more and enjoy life. (Sounds easy, but I rarely sit down and I always have to be busy. It is really hard for me to relax.)
I have lots of other things on my list like paint my kitchen , declutter my house, run a 1/2 marathon…. Since I love to make lists, I really do get carried away! So far this month I’ve stuck to my goals! Yea me!
I truly hope your New Year is off to a great start!
