I’m shocked at how much time has past since I last posted. One of these days I will find a balance!
I won’t bore you will all the details of where I’ve been (mainly, because I don’t really know…) but I will fill you in on the highlights. (One of the reasons I blog is so I can look back over the years and remember my life. The old memory doesn’t work like it use to!)
Graduations, banquets and finishing up school filled up our May. I didn’t have any kids graduating this year, but we had lots of friends. We finally finished up school for the year and now I have a Junior in college, a Senior in high school and a 5th grader!
Tori was named “Defensive Player of the Year” on her Varsity Volleyball team. She set a new record for “most blocks.” I’m so proud of her! She tore her ACL and had knee surgery over a year ago and has worked so hard to return to volleyball.
My nephew graduated from high school. I’m so proud of him!
I was without a car for a while, since my other car was totaled. (You can read about it here.) It is amazing how much our family relies on me having a car. When I was first married, Mark and I shared a car. Now, we have become so dependent on always going. Not something I’m proud of.
Finally, we found what I wanted. (BTW, Car shopping isn’t as much fun as I thought it would be.)
And finally, this kid came home for summer. When she left, I thought I wouldn’t make it. I couldn’t imagine having her so far away. I’m so glad the year flew by. We all survived!
She left last year as a new Freshman and returned as a Junior. (She went in with a lot of college hours!)
It is so nice to have all my chicks back in the nest. She told me yesterday, she leaves in 60 days. Oh my! I don’t even want to think about it.
I have lots of things to write about, but I will save them for another post!
