I love Saturdays, especially when we don’t have anything on the calendar, which almost NEVER happens.
Today it was just me and Mark.
I started the day on the patio. Just me, my cup of tea, my journal and my Bible. I spent my morning reflecting over the day before. Sad to say, it wasn’t my best day. I was selfish, angry, prideful…..I could go on and on.
I have a tendency to offer grace to others, but when it comes to myself I’m really hard on myself and don’t often extend grace to myself. I’m so thankful my Savior is One who convicts, but never condemns. Even though I can make a mess of things, he reminds me “where sin abounds, grace abounds more.” Romans 5:20
Today I embraced grace.
I’m so thankful for His “new mercies every morning.”
Mark and I, then, decided to visit our local farmer’s market. I love the small town feel of farmer’s markets!
After the farmer’s market, we went to our favorite coffee shop. It’s an old house turned coffee shop.
Everything they serve is local. They make all their bread and pastries and even their own syrups. It’s really an amazing place! They also serve paleo breakfasts. We’d already had our breakfast, but I can’t wait to go back and try it.
BTW, they make the BEST chai tea.
Happy Monday, Friends!
Praying you are embracing HIS steadfast love today and celebrating new mercies EVERY morning!
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”
