Parmesan popcorn is probably my most favorite snack!! I LOVE it! I could eat it every day. I don’t. But I could.
It is such an easy and healthy snack (if you don’t drown it in butter.) I pop my popcorn in a pan, on the stove. The old fashioned way. I know microwave popcorn is easier, but I hate it. Yuck!
oil (for popping)
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 stick of butter
salt (to taste)
1. Grate the cheese and melt the butter.
I like to grate my cheese really fine.
2. Now make the popcorn.
Pour oil in pan. (Just enough to cover the bottom.) Pour kernels to cover the bottom of the pan.
Shake, shake and shake some more. (Remember Jiffy Pop….just like that!) When the popcorn begins to stop popping, its ready. It can burn really easy on the bottom, so make sure you keep shaking until its done.
4. Pour it into a big bowl. Salt to taste. Then pour the melted butter and finally…. the parmesan cheese!! Mix all together with a big spoon. You can over salt and over butter….so be careful!
