Okay, I’m finally getting around to posting the rest of Tristyn’s pinwheel party. (If you missed the decorations, you can read about them here.)
The party was so much fun! We played some new games that we’d never played before and they were hilarious! You will want to play these at your next party!
The next game was the Skittles game (to go with the rainbow color theme!)
Here’s how you play: Put a bowl of skittles in the middle of the table. Each child gets a cup and a straw. The object is to move as many skittles as you can from the bowl in the center to your cup without using your hand. You can only use the straw. The person with the most Skittles in their cup wins!
The kids loved this! They played a few times. I made them stop because I had other games. (Come on kids…let’s stay on schedule!) 🙂
We also played the Gummy Bear Game.
The object of the game was to be the first person to find the 12 gummy bears on your plate without using your hands. (The gummy bears are covered in tons of whip cream.)
Somehow the kids talked Taylor and Tori in to playing thisgame.
It was hilarious!
We ended game time with a water balloon fight!
The kids swam, ate cake and ice-cream and played for hours. Then the boys went home while the girls took over our family room with their pillows and sleeping bags. I went to bed when they brought out the nail polish for mani’s and pedi’s around 11:00.
Tristyn is growing into a beautiful young lady. She has such a sweet and gentle spirit. She’s also hilarious! She still loves to play Barbie’s, American Girl dolls and Legos, but I can tell those days may be coming to an end soon. She loves animals and the outdoors. One of her favorite thing to do is to go hunting with her daddy.
Happy birthday, Tristyn! I love you!
