Summer is here and I’m soooo excited! It’s easy for me to spend my days cleaning and organizing since we don’t have a “structured” school time, but that’s not really how I want to spend my summer. Tristyn has 6 more summers at home, and I want to fill them with wonderful memories. I want to live our days with purpose.
Last year we made a Summer Bucket List and it worked great for our family. We didn’t get everything checked off, but we did more than we would have, if we didn’t have the list to keep us focused.
Tristyn and I made another Bucket List for this summer. We made a few changes from last year and are incorporating a few service projects. I’d like to keep our focus on other’s instead of our self.
We’ve already marked some things off our list. Last Friday, I took Tristyn and our neighbor to the library to sign up for the summer reading program. The kids were such troopers when I suggested we walk to the library instead of drive. We had such a great time. It was a total of 4 miles. Great way to get in some exercise, too!
We stopped at a cute hamburger joint before our hike home!
What’s on your summer bucket list?
